Death took him just like a thief in the night;
it was too scared to face him in a fight.
Too stubborn to give up or to let go,
He cared for his family to the end.
We often take things in life for granted.
And it can be hard for us to believe,
That anyone can be here one day
and then they can just be gone the next
We may never know the impact we have
Until we have passed through death's silent doors.
And then while looking out from the heavens,
We see the throngs who weep at our markers
His legacy will thus always live on
in the lives that he touched along the way
And in the family he raised, never

Fate
I know my fate now
and I accept it;
I go out to meet it
now, willingly, for you.
As I leave you here,
crying over me;
Remember who I was,
remember what I gave.
There is a fate that
awaits everyone;
No one can escape it,
nor can they resist it.
If we resist it,
we will be swallowed;
But if we embrace it,
then we shall change the world.
The Ranger Poem
The Day has come,
The Board is set,
The Time is over,
The Choices are made.
The Dead call out,
For us to join,
Those who came before,
Those who fell bravely.
They bid us to take,
Our places by them;
In the Halls of Dalen,
Where the brave never fall.
The Coming of Night
When the sun sets,
the end of all comes;
The Days are gone,
where Valor once lived.
Yet all has not
been said of this time,
The last bit of
light, still flickers on.
There may still be,
in a time ahead,
A gathering
of strength, of courage.
When the power
of old may infuse,
All those who strive
against the shadows.
Against the fall
of the last sunset,
Shall brave mortals
strive, to stop the end.
Where once the Gods
only dared to be,
There shall men go,
